Dominik Schnitzer

Dominik Schnitzer is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in augmented reality (AR) technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Snap Inc. since November 2019, Dominik leads initiatives focused on AR operating systems, displays, latency, and sensor integration. Prior to Snap, Dominik held the position of Principal Engineer and Team Lead at DAQRI, focusing on the Daqri OS, firmware, and AR latency. Dominik's earlier roles include Senior Engineer at Qualcomm Austria Research Center, contributing to SLAM research projects, and a postdoctoral researcher at the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence, where research was translated into software products. Dominik's career began as a part-time System Administrator at GRg3 Kundmanngasse, managing network infrastructure. Dominik holds a PhD in Computer Science from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and a Master of Science from Technische Universität Wien.
