Sherie Howell has over 30 years of experience in conference management, events planning, and meeting coordination. Sherie currently works as a Conference Manager at SnapIT Solutions, where they oversee the integration of the Conference Management Group into the company's business model. Prior to this, they served as the Conference Division Director at A-S-K Associates, Inc. for 18 years, managing over 900 meetings and events and establishing long-term relationships with clients and suppliers. Before that, Sherie was the President of their own business, Beyond an Event, where they managed 20 meetings and events per year and achieved profitable results for clients. Sherie also worked as a Meeting and Events Manager at Sprint, managing 30 events annually, and as a Marketing Events Supervisor at Primedia/Intertec Publishing. Earlier in their career, they held roles as a Meeting Services Coordinator at the Business Technology Association, an Account Manager at Meeting Resources Inc., and a Travel and Meeting Coordinator at House of Lloyd. Sherie has a proven track record of efficiently managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing catered meal functions and events.
Sherie Howell CMP, CMM, CGMP attended Emporia State University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) degree. Sherie'smajor was Marketing and Management, with a minor in Psychology.
Throughout their career, Sherie Howell has also obtained various certifications. In 1992, they obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Convention Industry Council. Followed by this, in 2007, they acquired the Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) certification from Meeting Professionals International. Lastly, in 2010, they obtained the Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) certification from the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. Additionally, in 2016, Sherie obtained the ServSafe Certification from Johnson County Community College.
