Henry Sim has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Web Developer at Wisdom Systems until 2004. In 2005, they founded their own company called SIM IT, which provided web development, computer support, sales, and network solutions. Henry held the role of Owner at SIM IT until January 2016. Following this, Henry worked as a Senior PHP Developer at Everlytic from February 2016 to November 2016. Henry then moved to QStory, where they served as a Software Developer from December 2016 to May 2018. Most recently, Henry joined Snode Technologies as a Senior Software Developer in May 2018.

Henry Sim started their education journey in 2000 at CTI, where they obtained a Diploma in IT in 2001. Later, they enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2009 to 2011, earning a NDINF and BSC degree in IT.

In addition to their formal education, Henry has acquired several certifications. Henry obtained certifications like "Pre Security," "Advent of Cyber 2021," and "Introduction to Cyber Security" from TryHackMe in September and August 2022. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in network fundamentals from Cybrary in December 2020.

Henry has also completed various online courses. Henry completed courses such as "Regular Expressions in Python," "Working with Dates and Times in Python," "Writing Efficient Python Code," "Python Data Science Toolbox (Part 1)," "Python Data Science Toolbox (Part 2)," "Data Manipulation with pandas," "Data Types for Data Science in Python," and "Introduction to Data Science in Python" from DataCamp between June and December 2020. Henry also completed courses like "The Modern JavaScript Bootcamp (2019)" and "Vue JS 2 - The Complete Guide (incl. Vue Router & Vuex)" on Udemy in 2019. In addition, they completed courses such as "Programming Foundations: Real-World Examples," "Building APIs in PHP Using the Slim Micro Framework," "Code Clinic: PHP," "Programming Foundations: Test-Driven Development," "Intro to SQL for Data Science," and "LFCS: Essential Commands (Ubuntu)" from Lynda.com in 2017 and 2018.
