Jean-Sylvain Sormany

Jean-Sylvain Sormany is a seasoned professional in the video game industry, currently serving as Regional Director for Keywords Studios since May 2024, focusing on the CREATE division in Canada and orchestrating growth strategies. As a Board Member of Interactive Ontario, Sormany provides guidance for the video-game industry's advancement. Sormany also holds the position of Studio Head and Co-Founder at Snowed In Studios Inc., overseeing substantial growth and production since its acquisition by Keywords in 2018. Prior roles include Co-Chair of the Industry Advisory Committee at the Ontario Media Development Corporation, Chair of the Digital Media Sector Advisory Board at Invest Ottawa, and board member of the IGDA Ottawa Chapter, where Sormany revitalized community engagement. Additionally, Sormany has experience teaching at Carleton University and has contributed to various organizations in the digital media sector throughout a diverse career spanning over two decades, supported by a degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
