Zhewei Yao

Zhewei Yao is a Senior Scientist II at Snowflake, with prior experience as a Principal Researcher and Tech Lead, Senior Tech Lead, and Senior Researcher at Microsoft. Zhewei also worked as a PhD Research Assistant at RISELab, a Research Intern at Meta, and an Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Zhewei earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, between August 2016 and May 2021, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, completed in July 2016.
