Kelly Murphy, PMP, CSM

Kelly Murphy, PMP, CSM has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and companies. Starting in 2006 at Soar Technology, Inc., Kelly initially worked as an Accountant for seven years before transitioning to a Project Administrator role. As a Project Administrator, Kelly maintained project plans, coordinated schedules, and tracked budgets. In 2017, they were promoted to Project Manager, where they managed and oversaw all aspects of projects, including scope, cost, schedule, and resources. In 2021, they further advanced to the role of Program Manager, responsible for supporting portfolio leads and ensuring successful project completion. Kelly then served as the Program Management Office (PMO) Lead, overseeing the performance of the portfolio using industry methodologies and supporting the PMO team members. Currently, since October 2022, Kelly holds the position of Program Management Office (PMO) Manager at Soar Technology, Inc. In addition to their experience at Soar Technology, Inc., Kelly had a brief stint at Kinderstreet, Inc. in 2005 as a Consultant/Member Services.

Kelly Murphy, PMP, CSM has a diverse education history, with a focus on business and project management. Starting in 2000, Kelly attended Washtenaw Community College, where they obtained an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Business Computer Programming in 2002. Kelly later pursued further education and completed a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University - School of Business in 2013-2014. In 2014-2015, Kelly further expanded their skills by completing a Master Certificate in Business Analysis, also from The George Washington University - School of Business.

In 2015, Kelly attended Eastern Michigan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Technology Management in 2017. Additionally, in the same year, Kelly obtained a Liberal Arts Certificate from Washtenaw Community College.

Continuing their educational journey, Kelly pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Value Driven Organization at Central Michigan University from 2017 to 2019. This degree further enhanced their business and management knowledge.

In terms of certifications, Kelly obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2017. More recently, in September 2021, they earned the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Kelly has also pursued a Certified Business Analyst (GWCBA) certification and a Certified Project Manager (GWCPM) certification from The George Washington University - School of Business, although the specific dates of attainment are not provided.
