Gillian Garbus

Gillian Garbus has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gillian began their career as a Database Administration Intern at Soaring Eagle Database Consulting, Inc. in 2015 and held the position until 2019 while also pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Florida Polytechnic University, where they worked as a Research Assistant from 2018 to 2019.

In 2017, Gillian founded their own company called Escape Strategy, where they served as the President/Owner until 2018. During this time, they gained valuable experience in leadership and entrepreneurship.

Gillian then joined Badcock and More in 2019 as a Database Administrator, responsible for maintaining data and backups in numerous SQL servers. Gillian was also involved in security initiatives and participated in architecture planning for cloud migration.

Currently, Gillian is working at Soaring Eagle Data Solutions, Inc. as the Director of Operations and Business Intelligence, a role they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this position, they held the role of Database Administration Consultant at the same company from 2020 to 2022.

Throughout their career, Gillian has consistently demonstrated their expertise in database administration, data management, and business intelligence. Gillian has a strong background in SQL servers, SSRS subscriptions and reports, and PowerBI dashboards and reports.

Gillian Garbus pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Analytics and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Advanced Technology and Big Data Analytics from Florida Polytechnic University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Gillian obtained a certification in MSCA (Administering and Provisioning Databases) from Microsoft in September 2019.
