Matt Tatem

Matt Tatem is an experienced mechanical designer with a robust background in creating designs for electronic module housings and components that prioritize production efficiency and material reduction. Currently serving as a Mechanical Designer at Soaris LLC since April 2022, Matt previously held similar roles at Vitesco Technologies and Continental from 2019 to 2022 and from 2008 to 2019, respectively. Early in the career, Matt worked as a Designer/Drafter at Synerject LLC, focusing on fuel delivery systems, and also gained valuable experience as an Engineering Technician. Prior roles include Journeyman's Machinist at Modern Machine & Tool Company, Mechanical Technician at Technology Applications Inc, Calibration Technician at MMC Instruments Lab, and Machinist - Co-op Student at NASA Langley Research Center. Matt Tatem holds a Journeyman's Machinist certification from the Virginia Apprenticeship Council and an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Technology from Thomas Nelson Community College.
