Janet N. Chong

Janet N. Chong is a Senior Legal Counsel at SOCAN since February 2018, previously serving as a Legal Counsel. Prior to this role, Janet was an Associate in Intellectual Property at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP from September 2010 to February 2018, focusing on litigation, trademark, and copyright law, and representing clients in various IP disputes. Janet's legal career began as an Articling Student at Deeth Williams Wall LLP, and includes experience as a Research Assistant at Osgoode Hall Law School and a Summer Law Student at Jensen Lunny MacInnes Law Corporation. Janet holds a J.D. from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry with a Commerce Minor from The University of British Columbia.
