Alykhan started their career at ITREB Canada as an Administrative Officer, where they managed day-to-day activities, finances, and communication. Alykhan then moved on to the Aga Khan Development Network, where they worked as a Refugee Repatriation Consultant, contributing to the repatriation of 60,000 Afghan refugees and developing program plans and funding proposals.
Alykhan then joined The Institute of Ismaili Studies as a Program Manager, overseeing an operating budget and collaborating with partner institutions to integrate global educators. Alykhan later became the Executive Director of New Circles Community Services, where they led an organization supporting newcomers, refugees, and those in poverty. During their tenure, they managed a significant budget and engaged in advocacy and community building.
