Naomi Joy Smith

Naomi Joy Smith has over three years of professional work experience. In 2018, they began their career as a System Coordinator for Our GRDN, a project to enable innovation in local communities across India and abroad. From 2019 to 2021, they held various roles in different organizations such as Collaboration Incubator, Climate Change & Consciousness 19, Now What?!, Beyond Us, Abundant Earth Foundation, Kernel.community, and International Permaculture Collaboration Laboratory (CoLab). Most recently, they have been a Technical Product Manager at Socialroots since 2022.

Naomi Joy Smith has a diverse educational background. In 2022, they will complete a Web Development (NZQA Level 6) from Dev Academy Aotearoa in the field of Fullstack web development. In 2019, they completed an Intensive Training from Dragon Dreaming International in the field of Project Design & Facilitation. In 2017, they completed a Food Forest Design course from Kahikatea Farm in the field of Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture. In 2016, they completed a Permaculture Design Certificate from Earthcare Education Aotearoa, a Tea Ceremony from Ming Tea Studio, and Creative Writing from We Will Dance With Mountains.
