Gavin Lewis is currently working as Recovery Lead at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP), where Gavin oversees a team of undergraduate students in designing, manufacturing, and testing various engineering systems for rocket stage separation and parachutes, among other components. Gavin also works as an ARES Engineer, focusing on developing an autonomous recovery system for rockets. At UW Aeronautical Laboratory, Gavin is a Student Engineer conducting aerodynamics tests for industry companies. Gavin is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington.
