Deborah Zelinsky is an experienced professional in the fields of optometry and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. Currently serving as the Immediate Past President of the Society for Brain Mapping & Therapeutics since May 2020, Deborah leads a collective of pioneers in healthcare focused on advancing scientific collaboration. As a Board Member, Deborah established and directs the Science Subcommittee on Visual Processing and Retinal Neuromodulation, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers and clinicians. Since 1992, Deborah has owned The Mind-Eye Connection, specializing in diagnosing visual issues not related to central eyesight, and has been a researcher at Carrington Press since 1999. Deborah's earlier career includes working as an optometrist at Eye Contact from 1986 to 1989. Deborah holds an O.D. in Optometry with a focus on Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation from the Illinois College of Optometry and an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
