Digital Marketing and Communications Manager at Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics

Adrianne Ali is the current Digital Marketing and Communications Manager at Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Adrianne has held this position for 6 years and 3 months, and prior to that, they were the Marketing Communications Associate, Digital Content Coordinator, and part of the website redesign team. In their current role, Adrianne is responsible for SIAM's online presence and digital platforms, including the website, social media, and blog. Adrianne is also responsible for SIAM's transition to marketing automation email software, including management of email lists, reviewing and editing email copy, researching trends and best practices with regards to email marketing, and managing a shared email calendar. In addition, Adrianne is responsible for process innovation through defining ways to increase efficiency and productivity of the marketing team, and creation of process documentation.

Adrianne also collaborates with the Project Director of MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge to organize and promote the math challenge. As part of this role, they manage the system updates (websites, database) for M3 Challenge and oversees monthly reporting/analytics with regards to newsletter, website, socials, blogs. Adrianne is also responsible for content creation and editing. Adrianne is the lead editor on SIAM content, including but not limited to press releases, articles, blogs, social media, collateral material, marketing material, email blasts.

In their previous role as part of the website redesign team, Adrianne was responsible for updating and condensing over 15,000 webpages; design and creation of pages for the new site; collaboration with a third-party website developing team and other SIAM departments; testing of the new website; and management of the progress and status of new webpages.

Adrianne has also shaped the overall marketing initiatives and the planning and promotion of the annual modeling challenge, a national math contest. Adrianne has managed and conceptualized a $11,500 promotional plan for one of the Society's online journals, including design of postcard mailer utilizing Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; planning of mailers; and development of key messaging and positioning statement through emails, Facebook and LinkedIn advertisements to target undergraduate students and professors. In addition, Adrianne has spearheaded teacher organization outreach to promote the modeling challenge. This includes formulation of targeted messages to over 200 teacher organization leaders to send promotional materials and informational flyers, and maintain relationship between teacher organizations. Lastly, they manage of the modeling challenge Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts; creates blog posts for the Society's online news feed.

Adrianne Ali has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) & Master of Science (M.S.) from Drexel University in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. Adrianne also studied at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Mass Communication/Media Studies from 2014-2014. Adrianne's extracurricular activities and societies include: Public Relations Student Society of America, Drexel's Special Olympics Student Organization, Animal Welfare Society, Spanish Club.
