William H. Datema, DrPH, MS, MCHES® has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. William H. has worked as an Interim Chief Executive Officer at the Society for Public Health Education since 2023 and as an Executive Director at ETA SIGMA GAMMA INC since 2022.

William H. obtained their Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree in Health Policy and Management from The University of Georgia, graduating in the year 2018. Prior to their doctoral studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Missouri State University, which they completed in 1985. William H. also holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) in Secondary Education from the same institution, earned between 1977 to 1981.
Furthermore, William H. Datema has pursued additional certifications throughout their career. In 2016, they achieved the designation of Master Certified Health Education Specialist from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Additionally, they possess certifications in Counseling (Grades 7-12) and Secondary Education Teacher (Social Studies, grades 7-12) from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which they obtained in 1985 and 1981 respectively.
