Mario Pisani

Mario Pisani has served as Deputy Director in the Financial Stability Group of HM Treasury since November 2021, focusing on financial sector contingency planning, resolution, sector resilience, and cybersecurity. With a career at HM Treasury that began in 2005, Mario has held various positions, including Senior Economic Advisor and Speechwriter for the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Additionally, Mario is a Visiting Professor and Senior Research Fellow at King's College London and a Councillor for the Society of Professional Economists. As a Trustee of the Royal Mint Museum, Mario contributes to public education on the history of coinage. Mario's educational background includes an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in Economics with Econometrics from the University of Kent, along with professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
