Vikki Salmela

Vikki Salmela has extensive experience as an independent artist and designer. Vikki owned and operated Polka Dot Studio since 2003, where they created artful expressions in textiles, home fashion, tech, and personal photo products. Vikki also worked as an independent artist for companies like Redbubble, Society6, and Kess InHouse, creating original copyrighted art for various products. Additionally, they worked in sales and design at Textra from 2003 to 2007, and as a stylist at Mokitex/Pine Crest Fabrics and Marimar Textiles, Inc from 1999 to 2003 and 2001 to 2003, respectively.

Vikki Salmela has an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, Vikki Salmela attended Severna Park High School and studied Art and Music. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Textile Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Vikki also has a certification in The Photo Managers Certified from The Photo Managers institution, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are unknown.
