Jason Charalambides has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jason is currently working as a Principal Engineer & Architect at SOCOTEC USA since November 2022.

Prior to this, Jason founded Avant-Garde Engineering in 2013, where they conducted architectural and structural design, risk analysis, decision making, and project management.

Jason has also held leadership positions, including being the VP / Board of Directors at the Structural Engineering Institute of Maryland since October 2018.

Jason also earned a CEAA degree in Architecture from Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-Villemin in 1991-1992.

Additionally, Jason completed their undergraduate studies in Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a B.A. degree. Their education journey began at Kykkos Gymnasium for boys, where they completed their high school degree in Math and Sciences from 1977 to 1983.

Jason Charalambides has also obtained multiple certifications throughout their career. Jason is a Professional Engineer (PE) certified by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, and the Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation in Maryland and Michigan. Additionally, they are a Registered Architect with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and the District of Columbia. Jason is also an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certified by the Institute For Sustainable Infrastructure. Furthermore, they are recognized as a Professional Architect and Professional Civil Engineer by the Cyprus Chamber of Architects and Engineers.
