Emilie Mezi-Gautier

Emilie Mezi-Gautier has a strong background in legal and project management in the aviation and aerospace industry. Emilie currently serves as the Head of the Legal Department at Sodern, where they are responsible for contract management and negotiation in satellite communication navigation, space instrumentation, and mining business. Prior to this, they worked as a Contract Manager and Ethics and Compliance Manager at Sodern, where they managed contracts from tender to performance and handled project claims. Emilie also has experience as a Claims Handler Aviation at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), where they handled international aviation claims and led legal cases in defense. Emilie has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile, a Project Manager at Autorité de contrôle des nuisances aéroportuaires (ACNUSA), a Legal Advisor/Chargée d'études at Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile, a Safety Consultant at ICAO, a Junior lawyer- Traineeship at the European Commission, and a Junior Lawyer Traineeship in the Legal Department at Eurocontrol. Overall, Emilie has demonstrated expertise in legal analysis, negotiation, project management, and compliance within the aviation and aerospace sector.

Emilie Mezi-Gautier's education history began in 2001 when they attended Lycée Thiers and obtained a degree in Hypokhâgne A/L in French Language and Literature. From 2003 to 2007, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Law at Aix-Marseille University. In 2007, Emilie earned a Masters degree in business law from The University of Sheffield. Emilie furthered their education by completing a Master's degree (M2) in Institut de Formation Universitaire du Transport Aérien (IFURTA) at Université Paul Cézanne from 2008 to 2009, specializing in Law - air transportation master. Finally, in 2010-2011, Emilie attended McGill University and obtained an LLM degree in Air and Space Law.
