James Allan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. James started their career as a Contracts Assistant at BG Group in 2004. James later worked as a Sales Assistant at Next Group PLC in 2007. In 2009, James worked as a Telemarketing Consultant at Quantum TM and then as a Tele-Partner Account Manager at Microsoft, where they managed Microsoft UK hosting partners.
In 2012, James joined BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT as a Product Executive and later became a Product Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for driving the strategic planning, development, and delivery of IT Professional Certification products.
Since 2015, James has been with Sodexo - Employee & Consumer Engagement, where they initially worked as a Product Manager and later held roles as Head of Product Marketing and Head of Product Management. James was responsible for managing the product lifecycle, creating value propositions, and developing strategic plans.
Currently, James Allan works as the Global Head of Product at Sodexo Benefits and Rewards Services, a position they have held since 2022.
James Allan received a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Advanced Management Practice from the University of Bath in 2012. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at the University of Surrey, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with Honours in Business Management in 2011. Their secondary education took place at Little Heath School, where they earned an A-level degree in 2007, with coursework in Business Studies, Maths, Geography, and Physics. In addition to their formal education, James has also obtained several certifications, including an Introduction to Agile software development from amps in 2018, a Level 3 Leadership and Management certificate from ILM in 2018, and a BCS Foundation Certificate in Agile Practice from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2013.
