Jin Cho

Jin Cho is the founder and CEO of Soelect, a company that specializes in all solid state batteries. Prior to this, they were an assistant professor at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, where their research focused on all solid state battery design and recycling, organic-inorganic hybrid solid state electrolyte membranes, textile/flexible energy storage devices, wireless charge-discharge all solid state batteries, and lithium deficient cathode material design.

Cho began their career as a core cell/material R&D researcher at Johnson Controls, where they were the technical lead on USABC-PHEV advanced high performance cell program and the technical lead on 12V-LIB mild hybrid performance enhancement. Jin was also the PI on many different technical projects, including Argonne and Brookhaven National Lab. Cho led Li-Ion materials research, evaluation, functional optimization and test for the company, as well as development of materials specifications, design standards and DFMEA for xEVs program.

Jin Cho has a Ph.D. in Electronic Materials from Marquette University.
