Roumen Nikolov

Roumen Nikolov is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, academia, and management. Currently serving as President of Virtech Ltd since May 1996, Roumen has contributed significantly to the field of advanced ICT through various virtual technology services. As a Professor and UNESCO Chairholder at the University of Library Studies and IT since April 2010, Roumen also holds the position of Chair of the Management Board at the Institute of Technology and Development Foundation. Roumen’s role as Research Program Manager at Sofia University since May 1999 includes managing numerous research and technological development projects funded by major international organizations. Roumen has also served as Vice Chair of the Management Board for the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City and was the Director of the Centre of Information Society Technologies at Sofia University from 1999 to 2010. Roumen's educational background includes a Secondary Education Diploma in Mathematics from the National Gymnasium of Mathematics in Sofia.
