Nilanka M. Lokugamage

Nilanka M. Lokugamage has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Nilanka M. is currently working as a Channel Manager- Bancassurance at Softlogic Life since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Regional Manager at AIA from June 2019 to November 2022.

Before joining AIA, Nilanka worked at HNB Assurance PLC, where they held multiple roles. From March 2014 to June 2019, they served as a Branch Manager, overseeing the operations of the branch. Additionally, from August 2011 to April 2014, they worked as an Executive-Marketing Communications, contributing to marketing efforts.

Starting their career at Ceylinco Life in 2005, Nilanka gained experience as a Sales Executive from June 2009 to July 2011. Prior to that, from April 2005 to June 2009, they served as an Executive-Marketing promotions, responsible for sales promotions and CSR projects such as mothers nurture care program, medical camps, scholarship programs, and seminar recruitment programs.

Nilanka M. Lokugamage's education history begins in 1991 when they attended St.Aloysius College. They remained at the college until 2004 but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study during their time there.

In terms of higher education, Nilanka attended the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing-SLIM on multiple occasions. In 2013, they completed a diploma in Professional Selling, focusing on Sales, Distribution, and Marketing Operations. In 2014, they pursued a diploma in Brand Management. Lastly, from 2018 to 2020, Nilanka obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing/Marketing Management from SLIM.

Aside from formal education, Nilanka has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn. These certifications include Marketin Managing with Purpose, Sales: Data-Driven Sales Management, Become a Better Coach for Your Team, Executive Influence, Building Self-Confidence, How Leaders Can Motivate Others by Creating Meaning, Leadership Foundations, Leading in Crisis, and Social Selling with LinkedIn. The certifications were achieved between 2020 and 2021.
