Alan McCarthy

Alan McCarthy is an experienced product design leader currently serving as the Head of Product Design at Goatpath by SoftwareOne since December 2022, overseeing a team of 14 designers and researchers in the software procurement sector. Previously, Alan held the position of Head of Product Design at Flipdish, where responsibilities included building the Product Design and UX Research teams for the high-growth tech company. Alan has over 20 years of leadership experience in design, including roles as UX Team Lead at Cubic Telecom, where a talented UX team delivered B2B and B2C solutions in the connected car industry, and Design Studio Lead at both AdLINK Internet Media and DoubleClick, providing creative direction for online advertising. Alan began a career in design as a Web & Graphic Designer at Cosmedia, working with notable clients. Alan holds a Professional Diploma in Management Development from Dorset College Dublin and has studied at Ulster University and the National College of Art & Design.
