Florin Talpes

Florin Talpes is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bitdefender, a leading cybersecurity provider established in Bucharest, Romania in 2001. Bitdefender offers cybersecurity solutions to small and medium businesses, mid-market enterprises, and consumers, with a focus on security efficacy, performance, and ease of use. Additionally, Talpes co-founded and owned SOFTWIN, and served as the President of ANIS Romania.

Florin Talpes began their education journey in 1971 at Colegiul National Avram Iancu in Brad, Romania, where they completed their secondary education. From 1976 to 1980, they attended the University of Bucharest, majoring in the Faculty of Mathematics. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree at the same university from 1980 to 1981, with a specialization in Operator Theory/Spectral Operators.
