Yolanda Mercy is an accomplished writer and creator known for their work with Channel 4 on the series "BBW," which follows the journey of a plus-size British Nigerian woman navigating love and adulthood. Currently active in multiple roles, Yolanda participates in the BAFTA Crew talent development program and is developing a new play at Soho Theatre. "Summer Fest," another new play by Yolanda, was commissioned by the National Youth Theatre, highlighting the challenges faced by young individuals during social events. With experience as a freelance writer and director, Yolanda has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as Shakespeare's Globe and HighTide Theatre, while also serving as a visiting lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Academic credentials include a PGCERT in applied theatre and a Bachelor's degree in Dance Theatre from Trinity Laban.
