Anna Hammond

Anna joined Solar for Schools in summer 2022 following over a decade of communications and project management experience from within the renewables sector. Joining the then small charity SolarAid, in its early days, focused Anna’s passion on raising awareness around solar energy for its educational and social impact. Later, working with other small-scale solar tech business from emerging markets took Anna to Kenya and India to live and work, where she met solar entrepreneurs and visited off-grid schools and communities, many of which had benefited from solar. Anna’s based in the Waveney Valley in Suffolk, and when not at her desk, she might be found on her yoga mat, heard singing in an all-female choir or on adventures with her young family.
