Rahul Ramesh

Rahul Ramesh is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in solar energy and mechanical design. Currently serving as a PV Design Engineer at Solar for Schools since May 2023, Rahul previously worked as a Structural Design Engineer at Visalam Energy, where expertise included electrical design for over 30MW of solar projects and preparation of tender documents for large-scale solar initiatives in international markets. Prior experience includes a Mechanical Design Engineering Internship at FLSmidth, where Rahul improved cost-efficiency and component lifespan through innovative redesigns, and a position as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at Nemak, focusing on prototype development for casting molds. Rahul holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from SRM IST Chennai.
