Amanda Young-Gonzales

Amanda Young-Gonzales is a skilled Sr. Research Engineer 1 at Solar Gard Saint-Gobain, starting in June 2023. Previously, Amanda held the position of Materials Engineer/Materials Scientist at HP from October 2021 to March 2023, focusing on the characterization of novel multi-layer polymer formulations in complex print systems. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where research involved preparing and characterizing phosphoric acid-based protic ionic liquids and understanding proton transport mechanisms. Amanda began a research career as a Research Assistant at Arizona State University, contributing to the understanding of hydrogen bonds and molecular dynamics, resulting in six scientific publications. Amanda earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Arizona State University in 2019 and a BS in Chemistry from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2011.
