Al Spencer

Al Spencer has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Al started their career as a Senior Auditor at KPMG US in 2001 and then worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Sysco from 2004 to 2006. Al then joined ExpressJet Airlines as a Corporate Accounting Manager and later became the Division Controller ExpressJet Services.

In 2008, Al moved to the Friedkin Companies, Inc. where they worked as an Accounting Manager for four years. Al then joined NCI Building Systems, Inc. in 2012, starting as a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager and eventually becoming the Assistant Controller - Components Division.

Al joined Air Liquide in 2017 and held various roles including Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of NAM Finance Transformation, and Deputy CFO and Corporate Controller. Al also served as a Board Member at Air Liquide Balazs Asia.

In 2022, Al joined JetBlue as the VP Controller and Principal Accounting Officer and later moved to NRG Energy in 2023 as the Senior VP and Chief Accounting Officer.

Al Spencer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. They also have a Master of Accounting degree from the same institution. In addition, Al has obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and as a Private Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
