Travis Kavulla

Travis Kavulla's work experience includes being a Lecturer at the University of Chicago starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at NRG Energy from 2019. Travis also served as the Director of Energy & Environmental Policy at the R Street Institute in 2019 and as a Governing Body Member for the Energy Imbalance Market at California ISO from 2018 to 2019. From 2011 to 2019, they were a Commissioner at the Montana Public Service Commission, serving as Chairman in 2011-2012 and Vice Chairman in 2015-2019. Additionally, they were a Board Member at the Western Electricity Coordinating Council from 2013 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Journalist as a freelancer from 2008 to 2010 and as an Associate Editor at National Review in 2007.

Travis Kavulla completed their Bachelor's degree in History from Harvard University between 2002 and 2007. Travis then pursued a M.Phil in History from the University of Cambridge from 2007 to 2008.
