Bashar Jazrawi, P.Eng has a diverse work experience in engineering. Bashar started their career at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) as a Research Assistant, where they conducted research on the properties of polylactide using a Capillary Rheometer. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in chemical engineering.
Following their time at NSERC, Bashar joined Solaris MCI as a Project Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating between the project manager and various technical disciplines to ensure smooth project execution. Bashar also prepared RFQ documents and collaborated with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods within budget.
After serving as a Project Engineer, Bashar was promoted to the position of Process Engineer at Solaris MCI. Here, they performed detailed process design calculations, such as mass balances and equipment sizing. Bashar also created process flow diagrams and developed instrument data sheets.
Currently, Bashar holds the position of Lead Process Engineer at Solaris MCI. In this role, they are involved in planning and work allocation for the process team. Bashar also serves as a technical point of contact for clients and leads HAZOP safety meetings.

Bashar Jazrawi, P.Eng has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several certifications from the International Society of Automation (ISA). These certifications include ISA/IEC 61511 SIL Selection Specialist, obtained in July 2022; ISA/IEC 61511 SIS Fundamentals Specialist, obtained in October 2021; and ISA/IEC 61511 Safety Expert, obtained in May 2023.
