Matthew Maughan

Matthew Maughan, CPA has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and accounting. Matthew is currently the Director of Finance and Operations at SolarPros starting from December 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Embark where they held various positions including Vice President of Business Development from May 2023 to December 2023 and Financial Accounting Advisory Manager from August 2022 to May 2023. Before joining Embark, they worked at Owlet Baby Care as the Interim Controller from October 2021 to July 2022 and as the Assistant Controller from July 2020 to July 2022. Matthew also worked as a Senior Assurance Associate at BDO USA, LLP from April 2019 to July 2020 and as an Experienced Associate at PwC from September 2017 to April 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Accounting and Finance Manager at RPT Installations from April 2016 to July 2017. Matthew started their career as an Assurance Intern at PwC from January 2016 to April 2016. Additionally, they have experience as a Sales Rep at Clear Satellite from November 2013 to October 2014 and as a Technician at Casepak from July 2012 to May 2014.

Matthew Maughan, CPA holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, which they obtained in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the same institution in 2016. In addition to their educational background, Matthew has obtained various certifications, including Workiva Platform Certification, Close Management Certification, Close Management Certification for CAS, Coupa Platform, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
