Nicky Deasy

Nicky Deasy has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2011, they founded and served as CEO of Alta Corporate Finance until 2019. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Founder & Managing Partner of The Yield Lab, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AgTech Accelerator. Additionally, they held roles as a Non-Executive Director at MicroGen Biotech and SOLASTA Bio, a Board Member at Micron Agritech, and a Member of Rising Tide Collective. In 2020, they joined MicroGen Biotech as a Non-Executive Director and became a Board Member at Micron Agritech. In 2021, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Sundew and became a member of the Investment Committee at biotope by VIB. In 2022, they took on the roles of Strategic Advisor at MI:RNA Diagnostics and Advisory Committee Member at EIT Food.

Nicky Deasy began their education at Loreto College, St Stephens Green, Dublin 2 from 1978 to 1995, where they completed their Leaving Cert. In 1991, Nicky enrolled in Trinity College Dublin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Studies degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. This educational journey lasted until 1995. Following this, Nicky pursued further professional development by attending Chartered Accountants Ireland from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained their F.C.A. qualification in Chartered Accountancy.
