Andreas Schmid has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andreas began their career in the US Army, serving as a Sergeant/Team Chief from 1998 to 2001. Following their military service, they worked as a carpenter for James Weber Construction and BohlenReis from 2001 to 2003. Andreas then transitioned to the education sector, where they served as the Head Alpine Ski Coach at Monument Mountain Regional High School from 2002 to 2008.
In 2003, Andreas joined Seacoast Mortgage Corporation as a Branch Manager, a position they held until 2009. During this time, they also co-founded Equity Advisors, LLC, a debt management and mortgage equity acceleration company. However, they sold their interest in the company to focus on the solar industry.
Andreas entered the solar energy sector in 2009, working as a Solar Consultant for Alteris Renewables, which was later acquired by RGS Energy. Andreas held various roles within RGS Energy, including Regional Sales Manager, Director of Project Development, and Senior Solar Consultant. Andreas continued their career in the renewable energy sector by joining Dynamic Energy as Vice President of Business Development from 2014 to 2017.
In 2017, Andreas joined Solect Energy as a Senior Director of Business Development, eventually being promoted to Vice President of Business Development. At Solect Energy, they were responsible for managing the origination and development of solar PV and battery energy storage projects for institutional, commercial, and industrial clients.

Andreas Schmid's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Monument Mountain Regional High School. It is unknown whether they obtained a degree or field of study from this institution. Afterwards, from 1988 to 1990, Andreas attended Green Mountain Valley School, where they earned a diploma in College Prep. Andreas then continued their education at Prescott College from 1992 to 1997, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree. At Prescott College, Andreas pursued a double major in Ecological Design and Wilderness Leadership.
