Laura Marek

Laura Marek has extensive work experience in the field of fundraising and development. Laura currently holds the position of Senior Director of Major Gifts at Soles4Souls, a role they started in August 2022. Prior to that, Laura worked as the Director of Development at the American Heart Association from December 2018 to August 2022. Before their time at the American Heart Association, they served as the Advancement Director at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware from May 2015 to August 2018. From July 2013 to April 2015, Laura worked as the Director of Annual Giving at Christiana Care Health System. Prior to that, they held the position of Assistant Director of Institutional Giving at the American Alliance of Museums from August 2012 to July 2013. Laura's career began at Canisius College, where they worked in various roles including Assistant Director for Advancement Projects from November 2010 to August 2012, Research Analyst for Prospect Research from July 2007 to October 2010, and Advancement Services Associate from June 2006 to June 2007.

Laura Marek completed their education at Canisius College. Laura obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Communication & Leadership from 2010 to 2012.
