Michael Best

Michael Best currently serves as General Counsel for Solid Starts since September 2021. Prior to this role, Michael was University Counsel at Long Island University from June 2017 to September 2021. Experience includes significant positions at Bloomberg LP as Chief Operating Officer for Industry Verticals and Co-Host of the Bloomberg Law Radio Program, and earlier roles in the Office of the Mayor of New York City, including Counselor to Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, and Deputy Counsel. Michael has also held various legal positions within the NYC Department of Education and the New York County District Attorney's Office. Michael earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Williams College.
