Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith is an experienced educator currently serving as a Middle School ELA and Social Studies Teacher at Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County, NJ, since August 2020. Previous teaching roles include Fourth Grade Teacher at Eleanor Van Gelder Elementary School and various positions at Forest Edge Elementary School, including Second Grade and Sixth Grade Teacher. Rachel's teaching experience includes placements as a General Studies Teacher for First Grade at Jewish Primary Day School of the Nation's Capital and student internships at Somerset Elementary School and Lafayette Elementary School. Rachel holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from Stony Brook University, complemented by a study abroad program at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
