Luis Muñoz Lombardo has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy sector. Luis co-founded Solum in 2018 and currently holds this role. Prior to that, they worked at Isotrol from 2014 to 2018. At Isotrol, they held various roles including Head of European Office, where they led business development and project management to increase Isotrol's presence in the European market. Luis also served as a Project Engineer, leading the monitoring, supervision, and control of wind and PV projects in the United States and Spain. Additionally, they worked as a Pre-Sales Engineer, where they studied and designed technical solutions for monitoring, control, and management of renewable plants. Luis has a strong background in project management and SCADA deployment.
Luis Muñoz Lombardo has a strong education background in engineering and solar energy. Luis obtained their MSc in Engineering in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla between 2008 and 2015. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Solar Energy Engineering from Delft University of Technology, from 2017 to 2019. Luis also participated in the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at UC Berkeley College of Engineering in 2018, where they focused on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies.
In addition to their degrees, Luis has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed a course on PV Glass from Onyx Solar Energy. Luis also obtained a certification in Solar Energy from Technische Universiteit Delft in 2017, and another one in Organic Solar Cells from Technical University of Denmark in 2015. Furthermore, they hold an Advance Certificate in English from Cambridge University Press, obtained in 2015, and a TOEFL iBT certification from The TOEFL® test, obtained in 2012.
