Kardam Soni has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2011. In 2011, they were a Summer Intern at MKS Instruments, where they collaborated with DELL Services team and MKS systems for their IT services, helped set up a search tool to integrate with IBM's Lotus Notes and other email clients, conducted network assessment on drops, routers and switches, tested IBM's Lotus Live for out of state collaboration and cloud communications, worked under IT infrastructure and IT Architecture for MKS, and worked with Websense to fix problems with Security Servers. In 2012, they were a Part-time Intern at X-Rite, where they tested HP Dreamcolor Monitor's calibrating software, tested Lenovo Laptop's calibration software, and prepared computers by installing necessary software and hardware for Quality Assurance. Later in 2012, they were a Summer Intern at Sonus, where they helped sustained software on GSX and SGX switches, wrote and tested scripts for System Integration Testing, and worked with ClearCase and ClearQuest in UNIX environment. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer at Raytheon, where they developed code in C++ in a scaled agile environment to develop software for Radar, worked with interfacing the systems in Mass Array System to other Radar Components using DDS RTI, developed kickstart files to run and install the OS (RedHAT) with COTs RPM needed and generated RPMs, and wrote scripts to package dependent libraries and configuration changes into RPM. In 2019, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they designed Crypto Planning Application using C# and MVVM framework to work that works with SQL server to facilitate AirForce to plan Cryptographic Key Management, and researched and integrated new FTP tool in C++ codebase to work across many applications. Most recently, in 2020, they became a DevOps Architect at SOLUTE.

Kardam Soni completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell between 2010 and 2014. Kardam is currently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, but has not yet earned a degree.
