Carlos Ortega

Carlos Ortega has worked in the IT field since 2005. Carlos began their career at Evolvent as a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer, where they played a key role in standing up a new data center for a DoD consolidation project. Carlos then moved to Energy Transfer in 2011 as a Systems Engineer, where they successfully standardized the virtual infrastructure and implemented iSCSI and FC technologies for SAN communication. In 2012, Carlos joined Vanguard Health Systems as a Sr. Systems Engineer, where they managed the virtual infrastructure running VMware ESXi for server virtualization and VMware View for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Carlos also managed dual fabric FC Storage Area Network (SAN). In 2013, Carlos became a Sr. Systems Administrator at Rio Grande, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. In 2014, they began working at Solutions-II, Inc, first as an Account Executive, then as a Solutions Architect, and later as an Account Executive for CO, UT, & NV.

Carlos Ortega attended San Antonio College from 2008 to 2011. Carlos has also obtained various certifications, including IBM FlashSystem Fundamentals V1 from IBM in December 2020, IBM Storage for Data and AI V1 from IBM in December 2020, IBM Systems Business Partner Storage for Data and AI - Technical Advocate V1 from IBM in December 2020, Solutions II ADC Associate from Solutions II in February 2020, HPE ATP - Hybrid IT Solutions V1 from Hewlett Packard Enterprise in June 2018, Double VCP – Data Center Virtualization & Network Virtualization from VMware in December 2014, CCNA from Cisco in July 2017, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) from Cisco in July 2017.
