Angela Bakker-Lee

Angela Bakker-Lee has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Angela is currently serving as the Executive Vice President, Healthcare Markets at SomaLogic since October 2020. Prior to this, they were a Chief Strategy Officer and Investor at Colorado Mountain Brewery from January 2020 to October 2020.

Angela has also held leadership positions at GWH, Inc (Advertising and Marketing Services) and GWNY, where they served as the Chief Strategy Officer from 2014 to 2018. During their tenure, they were responsible for modernizing infrastructure, establishing a sales team, and restructuring the organization for growth.

Before joining GWH, Angela served as a Partner, Vice President, and US Healthcare Industry Leader at IBM from 2014 to 2016. Angela also worked as a Managing Principal at ZS Associates from 1999 to 2013, where they launched and managed various new practice areas on a global scale.

In addition to their executive roles, Angela has been involved in advisory board positions. Angela served as an Advisory Board Member at LifeAire Systems, Truveris, and also acted as a strategic advisor to the CEO at Quid.

Angela's early career includes roles such as a Consultant at Frontline SMC, and a Marketing Manager at Molecular Applications Group.

Angela Bakker-Lee completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Immunology, with research conducted in the Biology Department and Stanford Medical School, as well as studies in Bioethics and English at Stanford University from 1988 to 1994. Angela then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology at the University of Strathclyde, funded by a British Marshall Scholarship. This scholarship was awarded to their in 1994 based on their achievements at Stanford University. Angela'sPhD studies took place from 1994 to 1997.
