Carl Morris

Carl Morris is an accomplished professional in the biotechnology field, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Somite Therapeutics and Chief Executive Officer at PFU Therapeutics since January 2024. In addition, Carl is a Biotech Consultant at PHDL Consulting LLC., starting in August 2023. Previously, from September 2015 to July 2023, Carl held leadership positions at Solid Biosciences, including Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President of Research & Development, focusing on developing treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Prior experience includes various roles at Pfizer R&D, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Director of the Rare Disease Research Unit to Principal Research Scientist, and a tenure as an Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine. Carl holds a PhD in Physiology from UCLA and a BA in Biology from Franklin Pierce University.
