Matthew Baris

Matthew Baris is a Quality Assurance Engineer at SomnoMed North America since August 2022, overseeing the Quality System to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820, while also working on regulatory projects. Prior experience includes working as a Quality Engineer at Abbott from December 2017 to August 2022, where responsibilities encompassed risk management, FMEA, and FDA audit preparation. Matthew’s earlier roles include teaching automation programming and science subjects to high school students as an instructor at Tech EdVentures, and designing escape room puzzles as an Escape Room Design Engineer. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, completed in May 2017.
