Vijai Furtado

Vijai Furtado has over 30 years of work experience, starting as a Scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation from 1990 to 1992. Following this, they worked as an Architect at Unilever Bestfoods from 1994 to 2003, where they were responsible for designing a comprehensive sales force automation solution. From 2005 to 2006, Vijai was an Architect at ICARZ, where they designed a Spring/Mule/Xfire based J2EE SOA for the automotive aftermarket. Vijai then moved on to HBO as a Senior Developer in 2006, where they designed and implemented a SEDA-SOA for the MIND project. Afterwards, they joined Standard & Poor's in 2007 as the Sr. Director of Technology, leading an Enterprise Performance Engineering team. Currently, Vijai works at Sompo International as the VP - Chief Architect.

Vijai Furtado completed an Executive Education program in Digital Transformation Strategy at Yale School of Management in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from Indiana State University in 2003 and a Master's degree in Electronics and Computer Technology from the same university in 1993. Vijai also earned a degree in E & CE (Eclectonics) from Gulbarga University between 1986 and 1990.
