Rob Baumert

Rob Baumert has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rob currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Sonasoft Corp., an AI-first company. Prior to this role, Baumert worked at X-Company as Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Strategist, and Performance Optimization. At X-Company, they played a crucial role in driving overall business strategy, achieving cost savings, and delivering business growth.

Baumert also had a successful tenure at Redbubble, where they held multiple positions including Chief Operations Officer, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Chief Financial Officer. Under their leadership, Redbubble experienced significant growth, with sales surging from $3M to $143M across 200 countries. Rob was responsible for managing financial reporting, forecasting, and the overall financial health of the company.

Before their time at Redbubble, Baumert co-founded Grattan Group Capital, a start-up focused on technology investments. Rob served as Director, Co-Founder, and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing investment opportunities and financial management. Additionally, they played a key role in acquiring and building a domain name portfolio and successfully led the sale of the portfolio, resulting in a 10X return on investment.

Baumert's early career began at Xcellis, a joint venture of Ford, Daimler Chrysler, and Ballard Power Systems. Rob held the position of Head of Test Engineering and Program Manager for Auxiliary Power Units. In these roles, they led a team of engineers and scientists and managed the development of fuel cell systems for vehicles.

Throughout their career, Baumert has demonstrated strong financial acumen, strategic leadership, and the ability to drive growth and efficiency in various organizations.

Rob Baumert has a diverse education history. In 2015, they completed the Emergent CFO Financial Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on Accounting and Finance. Rob also holds an MBA degree from Melbourne Business School, specializing in Business. Furthermore, Rob obtained an MSc degree in Electrochemical Engineering from Queen's University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada. In addition to their academic qualifications, Rob has also obtained a certification in "Brad Feld on Raising Capital" from LinkedIn in September 2019.
