Melanie Wendland

Designer & Co-founder at Sonder Collective

Melanie Wendland is a designer and co-founder of Sonder Design Collective, with a focus on global health and development since September 2017. In addition to this role, Melanie has been self-employed as an independent design strategist and service designer since June 2017 and serves as a lecturer on service design and social innovation at Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Previously, Melanie held the position of Director of Service Design and Innovation at M4ID, where responsibilities included developing methodologies for service design in global health and social change initiatives. Earlier experience includes a significant tenure at Fjord, where roles ranged from Design Lead of the Service Design Academy to Interaction Designer. Melanie's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Media Studies and an MBA in Service Innovation and Design, along with an ongoing Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences at Tampere University.
