Emily Lutringer's work experience includes various roles in the mental health and social services sectors. Emily is currently working as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at SonderMind since February 2022. In 2020, they co-founded and served as a Cultural Consultant at Emic Cultural Consultants Collective. Prior to that, they worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor & Registered Play Therapist under their own practice, Emily Lutringer, MA, LPC, NCC, RPT, starting in February 2016. Emily also has experience as a Project Manager at Alpine Achievers Initiative, where they developed and managed programming for homeschool children from September 2019 to January 2020. Emily worked as a Counselor, primarily focusing on children aged 2-12 and families, at San Luis Valley Mental Health Center from June 2011 to February 2016. During this time, they also served as an Intern from August 2012 to May 2013. Prior to that, Emily worked as the Antonito Food Bank Director at La Puente from May 2008 to June 2013 and as a Customer Service Representative at Alpine Access from March 2007 to September 2009.

Emily Lutringer has a diverse education history. Emily obtained their Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Fort Lewis College in 2005. Emily then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Interdisciplinary Studies with a self-designed major in Cultural Sustainability from Naropa University, which they completed in 2008. Emily went on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University, graduating in 2013.

Continuing their educational journey, Emily enrolled at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in International Psychology with a specialization in trauma in 2022.
