Ryan Plaza

Ryan Plaza has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ryan began their career in 2011 as a Store Manager at Honolulu Coffee Co., where they later transitioned into the role of Head Barista Trainer. In this position, they trained new hires on coffee knowledge and bar skills, as well as organized coffee-related events. In 2015, Ryan became a Barista Trainer for their own business before joining 9bar HNL as Head Barista. Ryan then became a Consultant in 2017, working for himself until 2022. In 2018, Ryan joined OpenTable as a Customer Service Representative and later took on the roles of Billing Support Specialist and Case Management. Currently, they work at SonderMind as a Care Coordinator starting from March 2022.

Ryan Plaza attended Illinois State University from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued a field of study in Philosophy. Ryan did not obtain a degree during this time. From 2016 to 2019, they attended Kapi‘olani Community College, where they completed an Associate's degree in Computer Science.
