Michel Arredondo

Michel Arredondo, M.Adm CCSP CISSP CBCP has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology security and cybersecurity governance. Michel is currently working at Sonepar Canada as the Director of Information Technology Security since September 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of IT Director, Infrastructure and Security at the same company from November 2019 to September 2023.

Michel also has experience as an Online Lecturer in Cybersecurity Governance at École Polytechnique de Montréal since August 2019.

Before joining Sonepar Canada, Michel worked at Radio-Canada as the Information Security Senior Director from February 2017 to November 2019. Michel also served as the Information Security Director and Senior Project Manager in IT security from July 2014 to November 2019.

In addition, Michel has worked as a Consultant at Sanofi from November 2011 to January 2013. Michel also has experience as a Conseiller principal at Bombardier Aerospace and as an Information Security Officer at Cirque du Soleil.

Earlier in their career, Michel held various roles at Above Security, Sanofi-Aventis, Hoechst Marion Roussell, and HMR, gaining expertise in security management, project management, and strategic consulting.

Michel Arredondo, M.Adm CCSP CISSP CBCP, received a DEC in Lettres option cinéma from CEGEP Montmorency in 1981. Michel obtained their Maitrise degree in Gouvernance, Audit et sécurité de l'information from Université de Sherbrooke between 2009 and 2012. Additionally, they hold the certifications of Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from ISC2, obtained in 2019, and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International, earned in 2000.
